EXCHANGE
EXPANDS OFFERINGS TO BUILDERS AND MANUFACTURERS
Natural extension
of existing services
December
16, 2009 (San Diego, CA) –Compendia
has recently introduced a new service that provides
a strategic channel between builders and manufacturers
to better facilitate the product rebate process.
Compendia
Exchange (CE) allows manufacturers an opportunity
to influence current and future buying decisions
and simplify the tracking and processing of
rebate programs. In exchange, builders can maximize
rebate values from manufacturers’ products
installed in the homes they build.
"We
have a unique competitive advantage to provide
this platform because of our proprietary processes
of collecting and validating manufactured products
for our other existing services," said
Compendia CEO Steve Fabry, "We know what
products are installed in every house, so we
can offer a mutually beneficial forum for builders
and manufacturers to connect."
According
to Fabry, builders can maximize rebate potentials
through Compendia's economy of scale with other
builders. Builders might receive a small return
on their rebate investment from one product,
but when their percentage is combined with other
builders in the exchange, the rebate dollar
per unit grows significantly. Additionally,
there might be products builders do not receive
rebates on they would otherwise be entitled.
"We
get to send our customers a check for a change,"
Fabry said.
From
the manufacturer's perspective, the Exchange
provides improved visibility and accuracy for
rebates and market share.
"It
prevents the practice of 'double dipping,'"
Fabry noted, "And it provides a platform
for manufacturers to market direct to builders."
CE
is a natural extension of Compendia's existing
service of providing manufactured product warranty
guides to new homeowners. As part of Compendia's
production process, all the manufactured products
typically installed in a home are audited to
ensure the builder meets their state and federal
requirements and the homeowner has a proper
accounting of what is in their homes.
"Our
data is accurate down to the SKU number. It
makes perfect sense to use this data for the
benefit of our customers," Fabry said.
"And because our information comes direct
from the source (builders, developers, installers
and subcontractors), the quality of the reporting
and analysis of the programming is more comprehensive
and accurate."
Compendia
Exchange is a turnkey service. While standard
rebate administration services require its members
to collect the data and submit the information
for rebates; CE prepares all the necessary documentation
behind the scenes.
